The Al Hirschfield Theatre, formerly the Martin Beck Theater) is a Jujamcyn theatre. It is a choice theatre, either the largest of the mid-size houses, or the smallest of the large venues. Seating capacity is near 1,300. As one of the Great White Way Broadway Theaters, this theater is located in the famous Broadway Theater District, home to over 40 theaters within a 10 block strip of Manhattan (from 53rd Street to 42nd Street, between 6th and 8th Avenues).
