Originally named the Mansfield Theatre and now named for the New York Times drama critic, the Brooks Atkinson Theatre was built in 1926. Seating capacity is 1,069. As one of the Great White Way Broadway Theaters, this theater is located in the famous Broadway Theater District, home to over 40 theaters within a 10 block strip of Manhattan (from 53rd Street to 42nd Street, between 6th and 8th Avenues).
