
The Cort Theatre is one of the jewels of Broadway, an intimate middle-sized house set slightly apart from the Theatre District. It was built in 1912 by the west coast producer, John Cort and is owned by the Shubert Organization. Seating capacity is 1,082. As one of the Great White Way Broadway Theaters, this theater is located in the famous Broadway Theater District, home to over 40 theaters within a 10 block strip of Manhattan (from 53rd Street to 42nd Street, between 6th and 8th Avenues).
