The Marquis Theatre is a Nederlander theatre located in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The Marquis is one of Broadway's newest theatres (opened in 1986) and a surprisingly good one. Seating capacity is 1,611. As one of the Great White Way Broadway Theaters, this theater is located in the famous Broadway Theater District, home to over 40 theaters within a 10 block strip of Manhattan (from 53rd Street to 42nd Street, between 6th and 8th Avenues).
