The Vivian Beaumont Theater is located in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. It opened in 1965 and is named after the prominent New York philanthropist. This theater was originally the home of the Repertory Theater of Lincoln Center, then the New York Shakespeare Festival. This mid-sized house is now managed by Lincoln Center Theater; seating capacity is 1,080.
