Hosted by National Park Rangers, the three hour boat
tour with lunch is a great autumn excursion that
includes wildlife sightings and engaging audio
commentary narrated by environmental reporter Tom
Zeller, Jr. You'll hear a sixty minute audio tour
narrated by Zeller and featuring the captivating stories
of fisherman and scientists who cherish the natural
treasures in and around the harbor. The audio commentary
also features historians and authors including: Mark
Kurlansky, Eric Sanderson and Sam Sifton who share how
the environmental riches of New York Harbor have played
a critical role in helping to draw millions of
immigrants to New York City; making it one of the
world’s greatest multicultural and commercial centers.
Rangers will also share their goals to transform New
York Harbor into a thriving urban waterfront park
system. The boat tour is currently scheduled for October
16th and October 23rd.
